Protesting against the killing of the four farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3, a 24-hour “Bandh” was observed in Maharashtra on October 11. Shiv-Sena led Maha Vikas Aghadi had earlier given the information about the “Bandh” on October 7.

The whole Maharashtra state seemed to support the bandh as the Maharashtra traders’ association reportedly decided to keep the shops closed. The BJP MLA Nitesh Rane on Sunday had said, “If Maha Vikas Aghadi workers force to shut the shops, they will have to face BJP workers.
The Bandra Reclamation Area, which witnesses heavy footfall every day, was seen deserted on Monday.
Congress workers were also seen protesting against the Lakhimpur Kheri violence outside the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.
At some places, Shiv Sena workers were seen beating the auto-rickshaw drivers in Mumbai.
