Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu’s demand for the removal of Advocate General APS Deol has been accepted on Tuesday. The Punjab cabinet has accepted APS Deol’s resignation and further, it would be sent to governor Banwari Lal Purohit.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi informed that new Advocate General would be appointed tomorrow.
It is to be noted that Charanjit Singh Channi has recently backed APS Deol. However, now, the cabinet has accepted the resignation of the top lawyer. Last week, Navjot Singh Sidhu withdrew his resignation. However, he had said that he would resume the charge only after the acceptance of APS Deol’s resignation.
