Coronavirus blast: 41 students at DMCH Ludhiana tests positive

Ludhiana, January 4

As many as 41 new coronavirus cases have been witnessed in DMCH Ludhiana on Tuesday, January 4. In the Malakpur Bet branch of DMCH, 41 nursing students have been found positive for coronavirus.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Ashwini Chaudhary has confirmed that all those who tested positive for coronavirus were B. Sc. first-year students.

Similar situation in Patiala also

This is an alarming situation for the medical fraternity and the general public of the state as yesterday, 102 medical students were tested positive for the virus in Government Medical College, Patiala. This included junior and senior resident doctors as well. The Patiala district administration has asked the students to vacate their hostel rooms.

Of the 143 new coronavirus cases reported in Patiala on Monday, 102 were the students of Government Medical College Patiala.

Earlier also, 93 students were found positive for coronavirus in Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala.

Coronavirus situation in Punjab

Punjab witnessed 419 new coronavirus cases in a day. On December 28, only 51 people were tested positive for the virus. Within a week, this spike has been witnessed. In Ludhiana, 63 new coronavirus cases were witnessed on Monday, January 3.
