A massive downfall in the voting percentage has been witnessed in Ludhiana during these elections.

As compared with the 2017 Assembly elections, there has been an increase of over 2.45 lakh voters. However, a downfall of around 7 percent has been witnessed in the voter turnout percentage in Ludhiana.

In the year 2017, 74.2 percent of the total voters in Ludhiana cast their votes. However, this time, the voter turnout percentage came out to be 67.67 percent in Ludhiana.

In each of the 14 assembly constituencies, a downfall in the voter percentage has been witnessed this time.

Constituencies with most and least voter percentage

In Ludhiana South, least voter percentage has been witnessed. Only 59.04 percent voters came forward to vote this time. However, in the year 2017, the percentage was 67.4.

Payal is the assembly constituency in Ludhiana where the voter turnout percentage is maximum. The voter turnout percentage in Payal this time is 76.12 percent.
