Amid the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, thousands of Indian students are also suffering.
Amid the war, there are thousands of Indian students who are stranded in different parts of Ukraine. As per several media reports, around 500 Indian students have taken shelter in the basement of an educational institute situated in Ukraine’s Kharkiv.
A video has surfaced on social media showing a number of Indian students gathering inside a basement of a university in Ukraine.
A Twitter user named Imran Solanki has shared the video. He wrote, “Indian students have taken shelter in the basement of a University in Kharkiv, Ukraine. They are worried as Food, money, essential supply running out. Modi ji, 18000 Indians, many of them students, still in Ukraine. Prayers for the safety of all.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced war against Ukraine. The world leaders have condemned Putin’s move and put several sanctions on Russia.
Vladimir Putin clearly said that those trying to stop Russia would face consequences.
The United States President Joe Biden said, “President Putin has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering. I will be meeting with the leaders of the G7, and the United States and our allies and partners will be imposing severe sanctions on Russia.”
French President Emanuel Macron also flew to Moscow a week ago and talked to Putin to reduce tensions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reportedly called Vladimir Putin and asked for a diplomatic way out of the current situation between Ukraine and Russia.
