Ludhiana, April 30
Amid the heatwave in Punjab, the state government has issued orders to change the school timings. As per the government’s orders, from May 2 to May 14, the schools for primary classes would remain open from 7 am to 11 am.
Other than that, schools for middle, high and senior secondary classes will remain open from 7 am to 12:30 pm.
Also, the state government has given orders that the schools will remain closed from May 16 to June 30. However, from May 16 to May 31, the school authorities will conduct online classes. The Punjab government has given these orders to all the government and private schools. Amid the rising temperature, the decision has been taken.
