Ludhiana, October 25
The Punjab Petroleum Dealers Association has decided that the fuel stations in the state will remain open from 7 am to 5 pm. It means that all over Punjab, people will not get petrol and diesel after 5 pm.
This new rule will come into force from November 7 and will continue for 15 days initially. According to the reports, the association has taken this decision saying that their income has not been increased, though the petrol and diesel prices are increasing every day. They have also demanded an increase in the dealer commission.
The chairman of the association Paramjeet Singh Doaba reportedly said that because of all of these issues, our income has not increased, and therefore, we have to take this decision to reduce our expenditure.
As of today, the petrol prices in Ludhiana are Rs. 109.22 and diesel prices are Rs. 99.08.
