Ludhiana, February 9
BJP’s star campaigner for Punjab Assembly elections, Union Minister Smriti Irani on Wednesday reached Ludhiana. Addressing a press conference, she attacked Congress General Secretary and her arch-rival Rahul Gandhi.
Smriti Irani said that Congress could not provide justice to the people of Punjab. Other than that, Union Minister Smriti Irani said that Rahul Gandhi was the leader of “Tukde-Tukde gang”.
District BJP head Pushpinder Singhal and MLA candidate from Ludhiana West seat, Bikram Singh Sidhu were also present with Smriti Irani.
Smriti Irani’s take on Navjot Singh Sidh
Smriti Irani also talked about Navjot Singh Sidhu and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. Irani said that Rahul Gandhi has made such a person the head of PPCC, who is a friend to “our enemies” (Pakistan).
Narendra Modi’s rally in Punjab
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to visit Punjab once again on February 14. On January 5, before the Model Code of Conduct came into force, PM Modi’s rally was scheduled in Ferozepur. However, he could not visit the venue as his cavalcade had to wait for 20 minutes at a flyover.
It was alleged that there was a breach in Prime Minister’s security. Yesterday also, Narendra Modi addressed the people of Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib through a virtual rally.
