Ludhiana, March 11
Aam Aadmi Party has created history in Punjab. No other party in Punjab’s history has won 92 seats at a time. With a massive majority, AAP has formed the government in Punjab and Bhagwant Mann will be the new Chief Minister of Punjab.
Ludhiana has always been a bastion of Congress in Punjab. There are 14 assembly constituencies in Ludhiana. This time, Congress could not even win 1 seat in Ludhiana. 13 of the total 14 seats are won by the Aam Aadmi Party. Here is a complete list of all the MLAs of Ludhiana.
Ludhiana North
In Ludhiana North, Aam Aadmi Party’s Madan Lal Bagga has won the elections. Ludhiana North has been a bastion of Congress for a long period of time. Congress leader Rakesh Pandey has won from this seat six times.
However, this time, he was in third position. AAP’s Madan Lal Bagga won the elections with a great margin. BJP’s Parveen Bansal was in second position.

This time, Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajinderpal Kaur has won the seat. She was one of the two female candidates of Aam Aadmi Party in Ludhiana. Rajinderpal Kaur is the new MLA from Ludhiana South constituency.

BJP’s Bikram Sidhu, Shiromani Akali Dal’s Maheshinder Singh Garewal and AAP’s Gurpreet Gogi Bassi were against him. Gurpreet Bassi Gogi has won the Ludhiana West seat now. He is the new MLA of Ludhiana West.
It is to be noted that Gurpreet Gogi Bassi was once a part of Congress. He was a close-aide of Bharat Bhushan Ashu. However, just a month before the elections, he joined Aam Aadmi Party and defeated Bharat Bhushan Ashu.

But Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Kulwant Singh Sidhu swept the seat away. Kulwant Singh Sidhu is the new MLA from Atam Nagar constituency.

Out of the total 14 assembly constituencies, AAP won 13 seats. However, Shiromani Akali Dal’s Manpreet Singh Ayali managed to save hiss Dakha seat.
