Ludhiana, March 12
Just a day after the election results were declared in Punjab, the security forces have been completely withdrawn from several ex-MLAs of the state. ADGP Punjab has given the orders to withdraw the security forces from ex-MLAs. Other than that, the security has also been withdrawn from all the ex-cabinet ministers.
The security has been withdrawn from as many as 122 political leaders and most of them are from the Indian National Congress, which was in power before February 20.
In Ludhiana, the security forces have been withdrawn from Rakesh Pandey, Surinder Kumar Dawar, ex-cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjit Singh Bains, Sanjay Talwar, Kuldeep Vaid, Maheshinder Singh Garewal, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon and Jagtar Singh Jagga.
Other than these political leaders from Ludhiana, there are several senior political leaders on the list whose security forces have been withdrawn. It includes Razia Sultana, Rana KP Singh, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Brahm Mohindra, Aruna Chaudhary, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa.
It is to be noted that around 400 gunmen have been withdrawn.
