Ludhiana, October 4
Senior Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu had been openly talking about the sacrilege case. He had been demanding the removal of AG AS Deol and DGP Iqbal Singh Sahota.
On October 3, Sidhu shared a video of Sukhraj Singh, whose father Kishan Singh was shot dead in police firing. According to Sidhu’s tweet, AG and DGP’s appointment “rub salt on wounds on victims”.
Navjot Singh Sidhu wrote, “Demand for Justice in Sacrilege cases and for arrest of main culprits behind the drug trade brought our Govt in 2017 & Due to his failure, People removed the last CM. Now AG/DG appointments rub salt on wounds of victims, they must be replaced or we will have No face!!!”
Replying to his tweet, Sukhraj Singh shared a video saying that he had no hopes for justice from the government. He also said that Guru Granth Sahib’s sacrilege and his father’s “martyrdom” should not be used for political benefits.
