Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the satellite centre of PGI in Ferozepur today, January 5. Today, PM Narendra Modi will address a rally in the Ferozepur district of Punjab.
The preparations at the rally site have started and BJP leaders have started arriving at the rally site for preparations.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 42,750 crore virtually.
- The reports suggest that Captain Amarinder Singh will also attend Narendra Modi’s rally.
- Amid light drizzling, the preparations of the rally are in full swing. This is Narendra Modi’s third visit to Ferozepur in seven years.
- The reports suggest that 50,000 chairs have been installed in the 30-acre pandal of Narendra Modi’s rally.
- Other than that, reportedly 10,000 police personnel have been deployed at the rally site.
- According to the reports, three helipads have been built in Ferozepur for the Prime Minister’s arrival.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that he welcomes the Prime Minister to Punjab. However, two people have been tested positive for coronavirus. Therefore, he won’t meet Prime Minister in person but will connect with him only through video conferencing. He reportedly said that Finance Minister Manpreet Badal will go to welcome the PM.
