As the financial year is ending today, fuel prices are continuing to rise. Today also, a hike in fuel prices has been witnessed in Ludhiana. The petrol price in Ludhiana has reached Rs 101.72 per litre. While the rate of diesel has also increased to Rs 90.43 per litre.
In the last nine days, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 6.15 per litre and the price of diesel by Rs 6.11 per litre.
During the assembly elections, the petrol and diesel prices were stable. However, once the results were announced, the prices continued to increase. On March 22, the petrol price in Ludhiana was 95.57 per litre and the diesel price was Rs 84.32 per litre. Since then, the prices are increasing every day.
The common public is facing multi-cornered inflation as fuel prices, LPG, and even dairy products are getting costlier in Ludhiana.
