Ludhiana, September 13
Harmohnider Singh Pahwa, chairman of the renowned Nova group of industries, died of a heart attack on Sunday, i.e. September 12. Sources have said that he was enjoying a cup of coffee at Sutlej Club in Ludhiana, where he breathed his last.
He was immediately taken to Hero DMC Heart Centre but could not be saved. Harmohnider Singh Pahwa was 77. He had a history of heart ailments. Survived by a son and two daughters, he was the chairman of Nova Cycles, Avon Bicycles Components Pvt. Ltd, and VS Auto Pvt Ltd. The whole bicycle industry is in grief because of his death.
Saddened by his death, Onkar Singh Pahwa, his brother and CMD, Avon Cycles Ltd. said, “My brother always worked for the upliftment of the bicycle industry and family was his first priority. He will always be missed”
“He has left a void in the bicycle industry that can never be filled. We have lost a positive-minded soul,” said SK Rai, Vice Chairman Hero Cycles Ltd.
