Bhartiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait on Saturday said that the Samyukta Kisan Morcha demands state-wise compensation and jobs for the farmers who lost their lives during the agitation against three farm laws.
Tikait said, “We demand a guarantee on MSP from the Government of India. The talks on it have just started and we see how it goes. We will discuss how the agitation goes.”
He also informed that the talks between the farmers and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar remained inconclusive. “Though they have agreed to take back the cases registered against the farmers, we want state-wise compensation for the deaths and employments for the kin of the farmers who lost their lives during the agitation, just like Punjab.”
