Lok Insaf Party Chief and MLA from Atam Nagar constituency of Ludhiana, Simarjit Singh Bains did not appear in the court today in the sexual harassment case. Following a demand from the victim’s lawyer, the court has issued non-bailable warrants against MLA Simarjit Singh Bains.
The victim’s lawyer Harish Rai Dhanda informed that the court had asked all the accused to appear on November 18. He also demanded that Simarjit Singh Bains should be arrested as he was trying to manipulate the witnesses of the case. He also alleged that the police were not arresting Bains on the pretext that the public had chosen him and he could not disappear.
It is to be noted that a 44-year-old woman has filed a sexual harassment case against MLA Simarjit Singh Bains. However, no arrest has been made in the case till now.
