Ludhiana, January 15
On Saturday, January 15, Ludhiana reported 1409 new coronavirus cases. Of those, 1283 belonged to Ludhiana and 126 belonged to other districts and states.
Also, six deaths have been reported in Ludhiana today.
- 70-year-old male from Salem Tabri (DMCH)
- 63-year-old male from Khanna (Jeevan Hospital Patiala)
- 70-year-old male from Dhandari Kalan (SPS Hospital)
- 63-year-old male from Tagore Nagar Civil Lines (DMCH Hospital)
- 43-year-old male from Chandigarh Road (Civil Hospital Ludhiana)
- One patient belonged to Amritsar
With five deaths of the Ludhiana residents, the death toll in the city has reached 2139. Also, 1071 people belonging to other districts and states have lost their life due to coronavirus in Ludhiana.
Active coronavirus cases
The active coronavirus cases in Ludhiana are rapidly increasing. Currently, there are 6478 active coronavirus cases in Ludhiana. Out of those, 6368 patients are home isolated. 11 patients are admitted to government hospitals and 99 are admitted to private hospitals.

Currently, there are 15 active micro-containment zones in Ludhiana. The areas are:

More than 6000 samples taken for testing
Today, as many as 6129 samples were taken for coronavirus testing in Ludhiana. The sampling has been increased in Ludhiana as the number of coronavirus cases is increasing in the city.
