Ludhiana, October 23
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha along with other farmer unions will conduct “Asthi Kalash Yatra” of the farmers who lost their life in Lakhimpur Kheri incident. This march has been divided into three phases and will be conducted in Majha, Malwa and Doaba region of Punjab at different times.
On October 24, the ashes will be immersed in Goindwal Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib and Hussainiwala. Two days ago, a meeting of the union leaders was held and the duties were divided.
On October 3, four farmers were killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri when a convoy of the Ashish Mishra, son of Union Home Minister of State Ajay Mishra, ran over the protesting farmers.
Also, the SKM (Samyukta Kisan Morcha) has decided to postpone “Mahapanchayat” which was scheduled for October 26. Now, it will be held on November 22 in Lucknow.
On October 26, 11 months of the farmers’ protest will be completed. They will hold protests demanding arrests of Ashish Mishra and other accused of the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.
