BREAKING NEWS: Class X girl in Ludhiana commits suicide as she scores less in school test

Ludhiana, April 4

A 16-year-old student, Harneet Kaur, living in the Canal Avenue area of ​​Jawaddi Kalan committed suicide and hanged herself to death as she scored low marks in a school test.

On Sunday, the girl committed suicide. The incident came to light when Harneet Kaur’s younger sister Gurnimrat Kaur went to her room. Seeing the dead body of her sister, she panicked and immediately called the mother Kanwaldeep Kaur.

The people living in the neighbourhood rushed to the house after listening to the screams. Later, the information was given to the police control room. A police team from Dugri police station reached the spot.

The post-mortem of the girl was conducted on Monday and later, the body was handed over to the family.

SHO Inspector Labh Singh of Police Station Dugri informed that Harneet Kaur was a student of class X in BCM School located in Model Town. Her exams were due and she scored a little less in the school test. Since then, she was worried about the final exams.

Inspector Labh Singh further informed that Harneet’s father works in a private company. On Sunday, Harneet was studying on the second floor. When her mother Kanwaldeep Kaur went to give her food, she said that she should leave. When Harneet did not come out for about an hour, Kanwaldeep sent the younger daughter Gurnimrat to call her sister.

When Gurnimrat went to see her, the dead body was hanging inside. Inspector Labh Singh said that in the investigation so far, it has come to the fore that she was upset as she scored less in the school test. Further investigation in the case is underway.
