Schools to remain close, IELTS institutes allowed to open in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, January 19

Amid the rising number of coronavirus cases in Ludhiana, the district magistrate allowed the IELTS coaching institutes on Wednesday, January 19.

In the orders, District Magistrate has said, “It has been brought to my notice that IELTS exams are scheduled on 8, 15, 22 & 29 January 2022. The closure of institutes will hamper the academic curriculum of students. Keeping in view the interest of students of IELTS, only such registered Institutes in Ludhiana are allowed to conduct classes with some restrictions.”

Some guidelines are issued for the registered IELTS coaching and training institutes of Ludhiana.

The institutes are allowed to call the students to the institutes in groups, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and then 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Also, in each group, only 50 % of the total sitting capacity would be allowed.

Other than that, the institute authorities will have to ensure sanitization of the institute twice a day.

Also, only fully vaccinated students, above the age of 18, will be allowed to visit the institutes. Amid the covid surge in Ludhiana, the educational institutes, including schools and colleges are closed till January 25.
