Ludhiana, November 25
Providing relief to the Punjabi University in Patiala, Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday announced that the state government would pay the university’s loan of Rs. 150 crores.
Other than that, CM Channi decided to increase the monthly grant of the university from Rs. 9 crores to Rs. 20 crore.
On Wednesday, Charanjit Singh Channi visited the university for the launch of two centres- Centre for rural entrepreneurship and skill training and Centre for restoration of ecosystem in Punjab. Finance Minister of Punjab Manpreet Singh Badal also accompanied him.
