The health department teams in Ludhiana raided a diagnostic centre in the Rishi Nagar area and found that an illegal scanning racket was going on. As per the reports, a lady doctor has also been arrested on the spot.
Also, a portable ultrasound machine has also been recovered from the scan centre. As per the instructions of Civil Surgeon Dr. SP Singh, a team was formed under the leadership of District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Harpreet Singh. The team raided the scan centre and arrested the found the lady doctor red-handed.
The police team reached the spot and arrested the accused. According to the information, the machine has been recovered from the woman who claimed to be a BMS doctor. Documents are being scrutinized by the Health Department. Further investigation into the case is underway.
