Former Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu has lost the elections from Ludhiana West constituency. His old ally Gurpreet Gogi Bassi has won the seat for the Aam Aadmi Party. Just a month before the elections, Gurpreet Gogi has left the Congress and joined Aam Aadmi Party.
With a margin of more than 7000 votes, Gurpreet Bassi Gogi has won the elections. Gurpreet Gogi has received 34 percent votes. On the other hand, Bharat Bhushan Ashu has 28 percent votes.
According to the vote trends till now, 40075 votes have been given to Gurpreet Gogi. Bharat Bhushan Ashu has got 32635 votes and BJP’s Bikram Sidhu received 27915 votes.
