The district administration has shared the details of the students from Ludhiana who had gone to Ukraine.
As per the details, 112 residents of Ludhiana had gone to the war-hit Ukraine. They were studying in different colleges and universities of Ukraine. Most of them had gone to study medicine.
Of the 112 Ludhiana residents, only 49 have reached India till now. Other than that, 41 students are in other countries like Hungary and Poland. 63 students have still not visited India.
13 students still not reachable
As per the reports, 13 youngsters from Ludhiana, who had gone to Ukraine for their studies, are still not reachable. Also, 9 Ludhiana residents are still stranded in Ukraine.
According to the reports, more than 6000 people have lost their lives in the war-hit Ukraine. The Russian troops have been actively attacking several cities of Ukraine. The Indian Embassy in Ukraine had advised the students to immediately leave the Eastern city of Kharkiv.
On Tuesday, an Indian student, resident of the Haveri district of Karnataka, died in bomb shelling. Other than that, a resident of Barnala district of Punjab also died of brain haemorrhage in a Ukrainian hospital.
