Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu ends his hunger strike and ‘maun vrat’ after Ashish Mishra, the accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, appeared before the police for questioning. On Friday, October 8, Navjot Singh Sidhu had started his silent agitation and hunger strike while being at the deceased journalist Raman Kashyap’s home.

Yesterday, he also met victim Lovepreet Singh’s family and consoled them.

Sidhu, along with other Congress leaders were detained by the Uttar Pradesh police as he was leading a march to Lakhimpur Kheri. Four farmers, two BJP workers, a driver of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra and a journalist had died on Sunday, October 3 in Lakhimpur Kheri.
