Ludhiana, December 27

The government has decided to start the vaccination program for children between the age of 15 to 18. Now, they can register themselves on CoWIN app or website for vaccination registration.

All they need is their school identity card. The government on Monday morning made the announcement and said that the students’ registration process will start from January 1.

Dr. RS Sharma, CoWIN Chief, reportedly said that an additional slot had been created on the online platform for the students. They can use their ID cards to register for the vaccine shots.

Further, he said that this step had been taken as some children may not have Aadhar Card or other required ID.

In India, two vaccines have been given a thumbs up for the children of age group 15-18- Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and Zydus Cadila’s ZyCoV-D. Those inoculating Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin will have to get two shots. On the other hand, three doses of ZyCoV-D will be given to the children.
