Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab OP Soni on Wednesday informed that the state government would provide Rs. 50,000 to the heirs of those who died due to coronavirus.
The state government has issued guidelines for the release of the amount. Deputy CM clarified that the heirs having the certificate of the cause of the death from the hospital would submit the applications to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district in which the doctor died.
Those, who do not have the death certificate, would submit applications to the committee constituted by the Punjab Government under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of that district.
Other than that, Deputy Chief Minister clarified that if the heirs of the deceased do not agree with the reason for the death mentioned in the certificate, they can apply for correction in the certificate.
