The union of the Punjab Roadways contract workers has called for a statewide protest demanding permanent jobs. The employees of the PRTC and Roadways will not work in the state from November 23. Also, they have not informed for how long the protest will continue.
The employees also gave the information that they will protest for their demands outside Charanjit Singh Channi’s residence. The contractual workers in PUNBUS and PRTC are demanding that they should get regularised. Earlier also, the workers had called an indefinite strike. However, after the government’s assurance, they resumed the work.
