Ludhiana, February 14
Ahead of Punjab Assembly elections scheduled for February 20, Punjab Women Commission Chairman Manisha Gulati has joined Bhartiya Janta Party.
Manisha Gulati came to light when she rose the #MeToo case against Charanjit Singh Channi last year. It was May 2021 when Manisha Gulati threatened to go on a hunger strike if the government fails to provide clarification on the harassment allegations that were levelled by a woman IAS officer against Charanjit Singh Channi.
Manisha Gulati joined the Bhartiya Janta Party, just a week before the Assembly elections. In the presence of Gajendra Shekhawat, Manisha Gulati joined the party.
