Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations in Punjab, Punjab Police in Gurdaspur has recovered two kilograms of RDX in Dinanagar.
The local police officials confirmed the recovery of RDX. On Friday morning, the incident happened. Gurdaspur police recovered the explosive material minutes before the senior police officials were scheduled to hold a press conference in Chandigarh.
It is to be noted that Punjab Police had busted an ISI-backed terror module in December last year. From a village in Gurdaspur, four grenades and a tiffin bomb were recovered.
Also, Ludhiana had witnessed a bomb blast in the district court complex in December last year. The main accused of the incident Gagandeep Singh Gaggi died while planting the bomb and six people were injured.
