Punjab government issues a 24×7 helpline number for those stranded in Ukraine

Amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict that has shaken the world, around 18,000 students have been stranded in war-hit Ukraine.

Out of those 18,000 students, a lot of them are from Punjab. To help the distressed families of those students, Punjab Government on Friday set up a 24×7 helpline number.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has also said that the people of Punjab can call at 1100. Those from outside India can call at +91-172-4111-905.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi took to Twitter and gave this information. He wrote, “In order to provide all possible assistance to the distressed families in the hours of crisis, a 24×7 control room has been set up to help people from Punjab stuck in war-hit Ukraine.”

On Friday, Charanjit Singh Channi also wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to make immediate arrangements for the evacuation of the students stranded in Ukraine.
