Punjab Chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Sports Minister Pargat Singh Kahlon were seen playing hockey in Jalandhar’s Katoch Hockey Stadium on Sunday.
Earlier also, on Saturday, CM Charanjit Sing Channi was trying his hands in the hockey field as a goalkeeper in Mohali.
Both Channi and Sports Minister Pargat Singh Kahlon were there in Jalandhar during the final match of the 38th Surjit Hockey tournament. It is to be noted that Pargat Singh Kahlon is the former Indian Hockey team captain. He also shared the turf with former Olympians Sanjeev Kumar, Harpreet Singh Mander. Both of them had represented the nation in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
On Saturday, Channi also took to Twitter and shared some pictures of him being a goalkeeper.
However, the opposition leader of Shiromani Akali Dal Bikram Singh Majithia had a witty reply response to CM Channi playing hockey in Mohali.
He took to Twitter and wrote, “Seems he’s practising to defend his goals from @sherryontopp alias Thoko Taali. Channi Sahb, you must have enjoyed playing here. The stadium was built by Badal.”
