Ludhiana, January 11
Youth Akali Dal chief from Ludhiana Gurdeep Gosha has resigned from his post and joined Bhartiya Janta Party. Media reports suggest that he left the party because he did not receive the MLA ticket from Shiromani Akali Dal.
He took to Facebook and informed about his resignation. He wrote, “I am resigning from all posts of Shiromani Akali Dal. I have been serving the party and the people with my body, mind and money. For some reason, I am resigning from my post. I will reveal the reasons in the coming time. I will continue my services towards the society.”
Joins BJP in senior leaders’ presence
Gosha joined the Bhartiya Janta Party in the presence of top leaders in Delhi. Union Jal Shakti Minister and Punjab BJP Election Committee President Gajendra Shekhawat and Punjab in-charge Dushyant Gautam were present at the time of joining.

A few minutes before joining Bhartiya Janta Party, Gosha had posted about his resignation on Facebook. The SAD leaders did not even get a chance to negotiate with him. Along with him in Delhi, some other leaders from Punjab also joined Bhartiya Janta Party.
Gosha’s joining BJP would be a big loss to the Shiromani Akali Dal. He used to play a key role in all fronts of Shiromani Akali Dal in Ludhiana.
Also, Gurdeep Gosha was actively participating in the election campaign for SAD’s Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, the candidate from the Ludhiana West constituency.
