In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party has been elected to power. Bhagwant Mann is the Chief Minister-designate and he will take the oath on March 16 in Khatkar Kalan, the paternal village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Complete security arrangements have been made in Khatkar Kalan and around 50,000 people from Ludhiana are expected to reach the oath-taking ceremony of Bhagwant Mann.
The reports suggest that arrangements have been made in 40 acres of land for the ceremony. The newly-elected MLAs have been given the responsibility to make the party workers reach the oath-taking ceremony.
The sources suggest that the men are asked to wear Basanti turbans and women party workers are asked to wear Basanti Chunris at the function.
Aam Aadmi Party has won 92 seats in Punjab. They have matched the state record. In the year 1997, Shiromani Akali Dal also won 92 seats. No other political party has won more than 92 seats in the state.
