Senior Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has filed his resignation from the post of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday.
In a letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, he wrote, “The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab’s future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab. Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.”
He also wrote that he will continue to serve Congress. Sidhu did not explain the “compromise” part in the letter. In June this year, Navjot Singh Sidhu was appointed as PPCC chief on July 18 this year.
