Ludhiana, September 24
Chander Gaind, Commissioner of Punjab’s Patiala division, reportedly directed the National Highway Authority of India to repair service lanes under the elevated projects. It is to be noted that the project is under Ludhiana-Ferozepur four-lane highway. Also, they have been directed to make the roads motorable before September 30.
Gaind reportedly said that the service lanes are in a pitiable condition and commuters have to suffer because of authorities’ careless attitude. He has also directed NHAI to remove unnecessary barricading from the roads.
SDM Jagdish Sehgal was directed to monitor the work and submit a report by October 1. Gaind has also warned that he will write a letter to the NHAI chairman if they fail to complete the work by September 30.
