The number of coronavirus cases in Ludhiana is rapidly increasing. With 610 new coronavirus cases, the situation has become alarming in Ludhiana and it seems like we are going towards the severeness of the third wave of coronavirus.
Of the 610 who are positive for the virus today, 561 belong to Ludhiana and 49 belonged to other districts and states. One person from the police department and 56 healthcare workers have been tested positive for coronavirus.
One death has also been witnessed in Ludhiana today. The person belonged to Himachal Pradesh. The number of active coronavirus cases in Ludhiana is 1651. This depicts that the situation is worsening each day.
Of the 1651 active coronavirus cases, 1612 are home isolated.
Today, 3625 samples were taken for coronavirus testing. There are eight micro-containment zones in Ludhiana currently. The list includes New Prem Nagar, Baba Than Singh Chowk, Basant Vihar, Maya Nagar Civil Lines, Pakhowal Road, Madhpur, Sidhwa Bet and Agar Nagar.
