On Sunday, January 16, as many as 1263 people have been tested positive for coronavirus in Ludhiana. Of those, 1144 people belong to Ludhiana and 119 belong to other districts and states.
Also, six deaths have been reported in Ludhiana today.
- 56-year-old male resident of Dheri (DMC Hospital)
- 56-year-old female resident of Khanna (DMC Hospital)
- 56-year-old male resident of Ratan Kheri Khanna (DMC Hospital)
- 1 each from Moga, Sangrur and Bathinda
- With this, the death toll in Ludhiana has reached 2142.
15 active micro-containment zones in Ludhiana
Currently, there are 15 active micro-containment zones in Ludhiana. The areas include
New Prem Nagar, Dugri Phase-1, South City, Focal Point, Tagore Nagar, Dugri Phase-1, Udham Singh Nagar Block- C, Daulat Street Civil Lines, Surya Vihar Rishi Nagar, College Road, Sarabha Nagar (Block- B, F, G, H, J, K).
Active cases in Ludhiana
With over 1100 new coronavirus cases in Ludhiana, the number of active cases in Ludhiana has reached, 7113. Out of those, 6995 patients are home isolated, 10 are admitted in government hospitals and 108 patients are admitted to private hospitals.
