Ludhiana, December 10
The auto drivers of Ludhiana will protest against Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Jagraon Bridge on Friday, December 10.
18 days ago, when Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi visited Ludhiana, he assured the auto drivers that their pending challans would be waived off. However, the reports suggest that the RTA officers denied doing the same.
When CM Channi was on a visit to Ludhiana on November 22, he had assured the auto drivers of the same. He also had a cup of tea with them. During his visit, CM Channi had said that the auto drivers could pay off their pending fines by just giving Rs. 1. However, no such official notification has been released.
It is to be noted that the same day, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal visited Ludhiana and had dinner at an auto-rickshaw driver’s home.
