Ashish Mishra, the accused of the farmers’ death in Lakhimpur Kheri, appeared before the Uttar Pradesh Police on Saturday, October 9.
NDTV reported that he was escorted by dozens of policemen and was taken inside the police station through the back door.
Samyukta Kisan Morcha had earlier said that Ashish was the main accused of the incident where four farmers died as a car ran over them while they were protesting.
Yesterday, he was asked to appear before the police but he did not. A notice outside his residence was pasted in which he was asked to appear before the police for questioning.
