The Allahabad High Court on Thursday granted bail to the main accused of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence that was witnessed in October last year. Union Minister of State for Home, Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra Teni today got bail from the Allahabad High Court on Thursday.
Lakhimpur Violence case
On October 3, reportedly eight people, including four protesting farmers died in violence that was witnessed in Lakhimpur Kheri. An SUV that belonged to Ashish Mishra Teni mowed down four farmers, who were protesting against the three farm laws, that were later repealed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A local journalist and three BJP workers also died in the violence.
Several videos of the incident went viral on social media. Several political leaders from Punjab, including Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu had visited the families of the deceased.
