Ludhiana, September 23
Heavy rainfall was witnessed in Ludhiana on Thursday, September 23. Several areas of the city were waterlogged and it became difficult for the public to commute. At around 3 am, it started raining.
It is to be noted that construction work is underway in several areas of the city including Ferozepur Road, Pakhowal Road, Malhar Road etc. Because of that, people are already facing heavy traffic jams. It looked like the streets and the roads were flooded.
Ludhiana comes under the “Smart City” project. All the political parties have also been claiming to improve the infrastructure of the city. However, Ludhiana did not look like a smart city every time it witness heavy rainfall.
