Ludhiana, December 31
Parents Association Punjab today visited the office of the District Education Officer Lakhvir Singh Samra and made him wear a garland made of shoes.
The representatives of the Parents Association Punjab alleged that DEO did not take any action against the teacher who was accused of sexual harassment with school-going girls.
“I have provided the District Education Officer with adequate video proofs that the teacher used to sexually harass the girls of class VII. We have filed a complaint with the DEO on December 12. However, till date, no action against the accused has been taken. Instead of taking strict action against the accused teacher, the District Education Officer transferred the teacher to a boys school,” said Rajinder Ghai, President Parents Association.
He also informed that the incident happened in a government school in Dhanansu. As per the reports, the Parents Association had taken up the matter with other senior officials and political leaders, including Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
