Ludhiana, January 7
The situation is getting worse day by day in Ludhiana as the number of coronavirus cases is increasing in Ludhiana. Today, 345 new coronavirus cases have been reported from Ludhiana. Out of those, 324 belong to Ludhiana and 21 belong to other districts and states.
In Ludhiana, currently, there are 1097 active coronavirus cases.
Another worrying aspect is that 11 international travellers have also been tested positive for coronavirus in Ludhiana. 38 were those who came in contact with the infected people. 22 healthcare workers have also been tested positive in Ludhiana. The death toll in Ludhiana has reached 2120.
The coronavirus testing has also been increased to some extent by the district health department. Today, 3547 coronavirus samples were sent for testing.
Out of 1097 active coronavirus cases, 1064 have been home isolated, 4 are admitted to government facilities and 29 are admitted to private hospitals.
Currently, there are eight micro-containment zones in Ludhiana.
