As many as 745 new coronavirus cases have been reported in Ludhiana on Tuesday, January 11. Other than that 1 death has also been reported in Ludhiana today. The 50-year-old deceased belonged to Satjot Nagar, Dhandari Kalan.
Of the 745 new cases reported today, 678 infected people belong to Ludhiana. 67 infected people belong to other districts and states.
57 were those who came in contact with the infected people. 68 healthcare workers have also tested positive for the virus.
The death toll in Ludhiana has reached 2125 now. Currently, there are 3572 active coronavirus cases in Ludhiana. There are seven micro-containment zones in Ludhiana. The areas include New Prem Nagar, South City Ludhiana, Focal Point, Tagore Nagar, Dugri Phase-1, Udham Singh Nagar Block-C, Daulat Street Civil Lines.
Coronavirus testing has also increased in Ludhiana as the severeness of the disease is increasing once again. Today, 5947 samples were taken for coronavirus testing on Tuesday, January 11.
