Congress leader Alka Lamba summoned to appear before Rupnagar police

A team of Rupnagar police today visited the residence of senior Congress leader Alka Lamba. She has been summoned to appear before the police on April 26.

She took to Twitter and shared a picture of the notice that has been pasted by the Punjab police outside her residence.

The police team of Rupnagar had reached Alka Lamba’s house in connection with an FIR registered against Kumar Vishwas. This FIR was reportedly lodged by an Aam Aadmi Party leader in connection with a statement made by Kumar Vishwas.

Apart from this, a case has also been registered against Congress leader Alka Lamba and the Punjab Police team has also given notice to her. Along with Alka Lamba, Dr. Kumar Vishwas has also been asked to appear before the police. At Rupnagar Sadar Police Station, this FIR has been registered.

The complainant has reportedly said that he along with AAP workers were roaming in a village addressing the residents’ problems. A person wearing a mask stopped them and called them Khalistanis. After that many such incidents happened, he said. Further, the complainant alleged that such incidents are happening after some comments made by Kumar Vishwas.
