Ludhiana, December 13
Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu on Monday approved a financial grant of Rs 19 lakh to 8 different NGOs of Ludhiana.
While interacting with NGO members, Bharat Bhushan Ashu and MC Councillor Mamta Ashu understood their projects in detail. They also assured of any additional support these NGOs may require in future.
A grant of Rs 2 lakh each has been sanctioned to NGOs Nirdosh School for mentally retarded children society, Darpan-An image of innocence, The North India Cerebral Palsy Association, Ek Aas school for blind and mentally retarded children educational welfare society, Social action group, Muskaan Welfare Society, Udaan Welfare Society, while Rs 5 lakh have been sanctioned to Shree Vivekanand Swarg Ashram Trust.
Bharat Bhushan Ashu said that these 8 NGOs are making a difference in society by working in the field of education and upliftment of children etc.
