Charanjit Singh Channi met Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Friday morning to submit his resignation from the post of Chief Minister post.
Charanjit Singh Channi was contesting elections from two assembly constituencies- Bhadaur and Chamkaur Sahib. However, he could not even win one seat.
The election results have been declared in Punjab on March 10 and Congress won only 18 seats. Aam Aadmi Party won 92 of the total 117 seats.
