Aam Aadmi Party’s Bhagwant Mann has taken the oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab today. The whole cabinet of the Delhi government, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other senior AAP leaders were present for his oath-taking ceremony.
At Khatkar Kalan, the birthplace of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Bhagwant Mann took the oath today.
Will create jobs and end corruption
In his first speech as the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann said that his government would eradicate corruption from the state and generate employment in Punjab.
“I won’t diss anyone today. I am the Chief Minister of everyone in Punjab, even those who did not vote for us,” he said.
Bhagwant Mann advised his MLAs and party-workers to stay humble and work for the people of Punjab. Further, he spoke on the issue of brain drain in Punjab. “We will stay here. People won’t have to go abroad for better earnings.”
