Senior BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia reportedly said that BSF was a concurrent list subject. He said, “Along with the BSF, the Punjab Police can also carry out searches and register cases. Drones are used for smuggling drugs and weapons. To stop such activities, BSF’s jurisdiction has been increased.”
